Wow, this year's Savvy Conference was great! And, as usual, we are having gorgeous fall weather here in Pagosa. The crisp mountain air helps us scurry through morning chores and get ready for the winter ahead. But its not too soon to think ahead to 2008 classes and take advantage of early bird savings on your accomodations. We here at Mountain Meadows would like to support each of you next season when you attend your 2008 course. We offer rooms in our guest house, and boarding for your horse to enhance your experience at the ranch.

Now is a great time to book a room or overnight horse stay as we are honoring 2007 pricing for 2008 reservations - we're already one-third filled so to assure availability book now. Pricing for weekly rental next summer is $250 for guest room, $300 for master guest room. Horse boarding is $20 per night, $75 per week, and $200 per month.

Here's the latest from the trail:
Our last ride began at V Rock, as cowboys were starting to round up cattle from the national forest. We climbed up on a ridge, and tied into the Leche Creek trail, and broke for lunch at Leche Lake. After enjoying a sack lunch, we cantered along the ridge to beat the afternoon lightning storm, and dropped into the tree-line again. We rode through an almost magical forest on the descent as raindrops fell from the trees, and the sunbeams streamed through the hillside pines.
